It has come to our attention that there is a significant error in the Student and Teacher diaries; the readings for Lent and Easter are out of sync by three weeks.
So, on February 17, which is Ordinary Time 6, the diary has the readings for Lent 1. February 24 (Ord 7), shows the readings for Lent 2. This continues until June 23 which is Corpus Christi.
From June 30 (Ordinary time 13) everything is back in sync and the rest of the diary is fine.
This occurred because Lent begins three weeks later than it did in 2016, when Year C was last used, and we missed it in our design and editing process.
The readings for Lent and Easter are still in your diary, they are just three weeks early. Also, there are three missing readings for Ordinary Time 6, 7, 8.
Where do we begin to apologise?
We are absolutely devastated by this error and apologise unreservedly. We might be a not-for-profit organisation, but we hold ourselves to the highest professional standards and are mortified by this incident.
We are of course reviewing our processes to ensure that this error does not repeat but that is little comfort to you as you begin the year with a defective product.
We accept full responsibility and are committed to doing whatever is reasonably possible to ensure that your staff, students and their families are not disadvantaged by our mistake.
What are we doing about it?
We have looked at reprinting the diary but unfortunately it is not practical to do so in a timeframe that will be helpful for you.
Therefore, we are printing a note pad of the affected content that can be glued into the diary if desired. We have also prepared a printable PDF with the corrected content for your reference at the link below.
2019 My Teacher Diary
2019 My Faith Diary
We’ve also prepared a weekly email for your inbox each Friday morning reminding you of what the readings for the coming week should be and providing links to printable downloads should you require them. This will end automatically on June 21 and you can also unsubscribe at any time.
